New Delhi, November 25, 2020: The National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT) Benches have been re-constituted to hold regular hearings through video conference with effect from December 1, 2020. NGT directed Chhattisgarh govt to sanction Rs 335 cr to construct road for transporting coal from mines to thermal power plants to minimise air pollution before March 2021

New Delhi, November 24, 2020: The National Green Tribunal has directed the Chhattisgarh government to sanction Rs 335 crore to construct road for transporting coal from mines to thermal power plants to minimise air pollution. The NGT asked the Chhattisgarh government to disburse the amount at Rs 3 crore per km for the construction of 111 km road (Raigarh to Dharmajay Garh, about 76 Km and Punjipatra to Milupara about 35 Km) and ensure its execution before March 2021. ....- Read More.

New Delhi, September 20, 2020: The Union Minister of State for Home Nityanand Rai said in a written reply in the Parliament that at present Foreigners Tribunals are functioning only in Assam. India granted citizenship to 15,000 people from Bangladesh in the last five years. New Delhi, September 08, 2020: The Supreme Court on Monday extended the term of Justice AIS Cheema, judicial member of the National Company Law Appellate Tribunal, by three months. National Green Tribunal fines four Companies Rs. 286 crores for creating "gas chamber-like Air" in Mumbai surroundings

New Delhi, August 14, 2020: The National Green Tribunal (NGT) has held four companies, including government-owned oil majors BPCL and HPCL, responsible for creating "gas chamber-like condition" in Mumbai's Mahul, Ambapada and Chembur areas and directed them to pay Rs. 286.2 crore for the damaged caused to the environment.
